"i want to ride my bicycle, i want to ride my bike..."

Gethin Jones promotes the Skyride in Manchester

Be very careful if you're riding your bike and listening to the new Black Eyed Peas or Kings of Leon CD.

While in bliss, doin the head nod thing bouncin to the beat, you could almost get side swiped by a car that doesn't care that you and a tiny piece of metal on thin wheels is in front of him OR you could be totally oblivious to mentioned car because you are peddling like a happy clam singing "Sex on Fire" and all of a sudden you feel a gust of wind out of nowhere, freak out, and eat it on the sidewalk in front of a bunch of high school jack asses who instead of coming to your aid, they say, "oh snap! she ate it hard! HAHAHAHA!".

I'm not saying this happened or anything...just take caution when riding a bicycle. It's a dangerous world out there.

The Con

I am listening to Tegan and Sara at this moment. Man, do I love those girls! I saw them at the Hollywood Bowl last month and I liked them so much better than the headline act! Their voices have such a palpable effect on me! Particularly, the song, The Con. I just feel like I want to cry and run out of the house for miles, but in a good way, everytime I hear it!

*sigh*

Just saw Julie and Julia. The movie about Julia Child and the woman who blogged for 365 days while cooking through Julia Child's cook book. I really liked it! What touched me most about the movie was the portrayal of the relationship Julia had with her husband, Paul. It was so loving, supportive, fun and very obvious how in love they were with each other. Their relationship was alive and full of respect, passion, and value through out all their years together.

I wonder if those kinds of relationships still exist...

shakin that ass

i got a wild hair and was craving this bad ass song! Not sure, but I think this video gave birth to the term "Bro's before Ho's".

nothin good about the blended name, SCORN

Scarlet Johansson appears for the press to promote Dolce & Gabbana make up at Selfridges Department Store on Oxford Street, London, England. Friday 31th July 2009

http://www.spin.com/articles/lusty-fun-scarlett-petes-new-video
check out the link above to hear the crap, I mean, song.

Why is sweet Pete Yorn doing a duet with Scarjo?? It makes no sense. He has a great following, he always brings it at his shows, he didn't need to do something drastic to get attention....I don't get it.

Her part in the song could have been sung by ANYONE! She looks like she has dead eyes in the video. The song left me completely underwhelmed, and well, bored. Bored is a word I hate to use with Mr. Yorn because I am a fan, but because of the nonsense that is this weak song with an actress, I may have to give good ol' Pete a time out. Sorry dude....

i used to look like the pic above. yes, in that sepia tone and everything.. with a bit more yellow than i would have liked, but nonetheless, i resembled the above image. nowadays, i'm thinkin and feelin like i look more like this...

THINKFilms Premiere Of Strangers With Candy - Arrivals

i am at a crossroads to say the least... i am doing an experiment where i am jumping jack-ing like a mother fucker, even riding a bike for crying out loud, and booty shaking like there is no tomorrow to the new Black Eyed Peas CD, etc., just to see if i can get back the littlest bit of mo-jo that i pretended i had when the first pic was taken. i am feelin blue damn it, and no Cranberries or Sundays or SP ballad, or Ida Maria song is making that void disappear. but i tell you what, i am discovering some good ass music on my trek....anywho, keep you posted on how "my hump, my hump, my hump" is doing. Off to listen to Le Savy Fav or New Young Pony Club, can't decide yet.

WHY?? WHY are they selling these? What's next? Bumpits for dogs so they can have volume in their dog hair as they trot for judges at their dog shows? They have clothes for dogs, I bet dog Bumpits are next. I don't know about you, but that frightens me.

It is my opinion that those who wear Bumpits clearly do not read their Vogue. I believe it's time to renew a certain subscription. STAT!

500 Days of Summer....LOVED IT

summer movie

just got back from my afternoon date with me myself and I from the movie. 1- I am glad that I started to do solo dates again to the movies. I forgot how much fun it was! I used to take myself to the movies every week when I first moved to L A. It was my way of dealing with being in a new city all alone but not feeling alone. and B) I really really liked it!!

This movie is for those of you that love good music with good movies the way you love a good beer with your burger! I mean, this movie featured "She's Like the Wind" by Patrick Swayze for crying out loud!! 2 words people....AWESOME!! Aside from the fantastic song choices from Swayze and Hall & Oates, there was a DANCE number!!! Waaaa Hoooo!.....OK, to you that may not be a selling point, but to me, a dance number always reels me in.

I left the movie feeling incredibly blue and optimistic at the same time. When a movie can simultaneously make me feel 2 completely opposite emotions, I think that signifies money well spent. It's a love story gone wrong but in the end you realize it was supposed to go wrong so that the end would end up right. Trust me, this will make sense when you see it. I have felt all the emotions of Tom, the yin to Summer's whacked out yang, and it makes you realize how hard and sucky it is when you find someone that you think is the one and you love them so much and so hard only to realize they will feel that same way.....towards someone else. We have all felt it and we have all moved on....eventually. Love sucks ass and Love can be the best feeling in the world. But is love real or fantasy? You can decide after you see the movie. what the hell are you waiting for...GO! I am off to go get the soundtrack! :)

R I P John Hughes

WOW.....thank you for heavily sprinkling my elementary and junior high years with great movies and thank you for the music you put in them.

Blah Blah Blah

Now I'm having problems loading pics! What the F? Anyway.....hoping to see Funny People, Paper Heart, and 500 Days of Summer. Zooey is awesome, I love her style. Not really a fan of her singing voice though. I had high hopes for her band, She and Him, but I couldn't realy get into it.

Paper Heart comes out this weekend and it was announced today that Michael Cera and Charlyne Yi broke up! Paper Heart was a mockumentary about finding love for crying out loud! Then the 2 main actors from the movie break up?? Publicity stunt or just the cold hard truth about love being nothing but trouble? Whatevs, I will probably still see it.

Still listening to alot of Meiko. If you like a high voice with a dash of melancholy and a bit of sassy, Meiko's your girl! www.myspace.com/meiko

Thank You!

Wow! thanks for the blog support everyone! I hope I entertain you enough to keep coming back! :)

So You Think You Can Dance was AMAZING!! I think Jeanine killed it tonight but Brandon proved to be his usual unbelievably talented self! I am excited for the results tomorrow! SYTYCD exhibited some amazing song choices by great artists this season. Not only was the show filled with crazy sexy cool choreography but the music they danced to was equally impressive! I heard CSS, Ahn Trio, Imma Be by BEP (which to me is the best song on the album), and tonight they used a cut from the "Matrix Revolutions" soundtrack for a passionate filled tango! I am definitely excited for the next season but until then.....I will be moving on to MTV's AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW on Sunday! Holla!

NO PAULA ABDUL ON IDOL???!!
That is just redick! That's like going to a Digital Underground concert and the lead singer not having his fake nose on when he does the Humpty Dance song! You can't have the Humpty Dance without the fake nose and you can't have Idol without Paula! It just ain't right! It's not one without the other. I know I couldn't have picked a more random comparison and alot of you are probably saying, "what the F..?!.. Humpty Dance Nose?" But I have faith that you know what I mean.
Just told friends about blog. SCARY!! but exciting too. Having been unemployed for the last year, i will have a lot to write about! Oh, speaking of, is anyone hiring? .... as i wait for the flood of offers that i am sure to get (crossing my damn fingers!), I will cope by listening to Meiko, a fabulous angel voiced singer who is playing in Downtown LA tomorrow.
Meiko @ Pershing Square w/ Tyrone Wells on Thursday August 6th 8:00-10:00 (FREE SHOW! ALL AGES!)

Hello!

my first day in blog world...I will be writing about anything that touches me in a way that the only way to deal is to write, vent, or gush about it.

At this particular moment, I will rave about my lovely friend,Tracey. She is a fabulous blog queen and fantastic friend! http://www.thetracey.blogspot.com/ She is actually the inspiration for starting my blog. Check her out, she will let you know what she hearts, and why you should heart it too! :)

The finale for So You Think You Can Dance is on tonight, so I must go and prep for the hootin and hollerin that will take place with my mom when Brandon or Kayla take the crown... On to the Hot Tamale Train, we go! WOOOOO HOOO!!
